2) Why do I need to use a bottle cover?
Whether you choose plastic, glass or stainless steel, a bottle cover will serve you beautifully. Not just for looks, the Cocoozy bottle covers were designed to:
+ Insulate bottle for hours
+ Protect against dings and falls; ideal for use with glass and stainless steel
+ Shield valuable nutrients from exposure to harmful light
3) I use stainless steel bottles that will not shatter, do I still need a cover?
Yes! Although your bottle will not break, it may dent leaving marks on those shiny finishes and possibly your new coffee table or little brother’s toes. Slipping on a cover will cushion and protect everyone involved.
There is another key reason. Our experience and research has shown that children are much more comfortable with a Cocoozy bottle cover enveloping their metal bottles. Anyone who owns a metal bottle knows that they tend to sweat and that the liquid does not maintain their temperature for very long. This is because metal is an excellent conductor of heat and cold. To slow down the heat transfer metal must be insulated. A simple and elegant Cocoozy cover insulated with moisture resistant neoprene will keep that milk or juice cold for hours and your child’s hands shielded from slippery, cold condensation.
4) I use glass baby bottles and I am always very careful. Why do I need a bottle cover?
Even if you are extra careful and are not concerned about chipping or shattering your bottle, you can still benefit from a Cocoozy bottle cover in a number of ways. Glass is transparent and therefore allows light to pass right through to the bottle contents. Research has shown that even a few minutes of exposure to fluorescent or UV light will result in depleted nutrients. Cocoozy bottle covers are made of opaque material that will block harmful light and keep nutrients in. Another reason to use a cover is that glass sweats resulting in slippery cold wetness on the outside of the bottle. An insulating Cocoozy cover will shield your child’s hand from moisture and maintain temperature longer.
5) What is neoprene and is it safe for my child?
Neoprene is a non-toxic synthetic foamed rubber material. It is latex-free, lightweight, long-lasting, reusable and recyclable. Neoprene is used in a wide variety of products, most common of which are wet-suits, seat covers, coasters, mouse-pads, shoes, etc. It works great for application that call for moisture-resistance, odor resistance, insulation, cushioning and durability. 6) Do you comply with the latest product safety laws and requirements?
Yes! Our bottle covers and lunch bags have been assessed by an independent testing facility approved by the CPSC and tested to full compliance with the latest children’s product safety laws. In addition, we require our materials vendors to supply us with their own certificated of CPSIA compliance. We send out Certificates of CPSIA compliance with each order where you can find contact information of our testing facility and essential information you need to trace each and every product to the manufacture date, location and lot number. 7) How are Cocoozy covers different from the other bottle covers?
Before Cocoozy was established, we were new parents on the prowl for a bottle cover that would protect our new glass baby bottles, and shield them from light and look stylish and cute (we often used bottles to store breast milk and home-made baby food). Was that too much to ask? Apparently so. So we designed our own bottle covers that covered all of the shortfalls we found with the other covers:
+ Most silicone rubber covers are thin-walled and therefore do not provide significant cushioning and protection to glass bottles, nor do they insulate as well as foamed rubber neoprene Cocoozy bottle covers.
+ Silicone cover designs incorporate multiple large holes in the body that will not contain spills or broken pieces of glass in case the bottle shatters. Silicone may not block light as well as an opaque material like neoprene because of the holes and light color, resulting in the destruction of nutrients in your child’s mild or juice. The Cocoozy covers block light completely and snuggly envelope the bottle from the reinforced bottom all the way up to the collar of the bottle.
+ Silicone covers as well as other brands of neoprene bottle covers are limited to a few boring colors or prints. Cocoozy covers are made with real American designer fabrics that give our products high-end style and unmatched variety.
8) What’s so special about Cocoozy lunch bags?

9) Where are your products made?
Up until January of 2010, all of our products were manufactured exclusively in RI. To keep up with the demand we needed to expand our production without raising cost and made the decision to have our products manufactured in Mexico. Just like in RI, each and every product made in our Mexican facility was made by hand to our exact specifications using materials supplied by us. We still maintain a small-scale production capability locally for custom, limited edition and product development purposes.
